Jenny Rat Cage Review

I have decided to include some reviews of rat cages for my UK visitors, as previously everything has been geared towards US rat lovers. This rat cage is available from Zooplus and there is 10% off your first order with them, which may make your purchase more affordable.

This is a lovely rat cage, with plenty of interactive space, such as tunnels and ramps. The wires are spaced nice and close together to avoid any naughty rats squeezing through the gaps. This is essential, especially for young rats, you would be amazed at how easily they can get through bigger spaces.

There is room in this cage to hang a comfy hammock or other cuddly bed area. This is essential, as the tunnels are fun, but not perfect for sleeping. Ventilation is good in this cage and it is also nice looking (although I am sure your rats don’t care too much about that).

I would only keep 2 rats in this cage, although some people buy 2 cages and use a tunnel to make it into one big space, perfect for more rats.

One problem with the jenny rat cage is that access is not that great. There is a small door on the front and top of the cage. If the doors were bigger cleaning out would be much easier. As it is, it is still manageable, but there is room for improvement.
